This is a Landing page of a recipe website. When getting an idea of design a lading page for a recipe website, I first wanted it to be a daily recommended recipes. However, when I recalled the websites that I experienced, I thought about in what situation will they use a landing page and why they used the landing page.  I found a landing page is usually used to inform the user about important notice, change, and upcoming or on-going activity.  A recommended recipes actually don't need to use a landing page to present. I then thought an activity could be a better reason for using the landing page.  

Since I want the user to read the content, I did not design a cancel button to force users to read content. If they are interested in the activity, they can press "see details" to get more details about the event, if they are not interested, there is a "no thanks" button to cancel this page.
